This past week, I attended a NSA (National Speakers Association) one-day conference and walked away with a ton of knowledge around turing my keynote speeches into full-blown workshops, providing the most value to my participants, storytelling, and what meeting planners are looking for when they book speakers.
If you haven’t added speaking to your list of areas to focus on and build and your build your personal brand, I suggest you do so. This is an excellent way to spread your message, grow credibility and even sell your products and services.
One of the most compelling things I heard was when speakers are being booked for large conferences and seminars, people aren’t simply looking for someone to give a speech, they are looking for someone to give a transformation. Whoa!
I created this video right after the conference to tell you the 3 main things that meeting planners look for in new speakers. If you want to increase your speaking engagements this year, you’ll want to start developing these 3 areas.
AND I’ve included video of one of my biggest fails as a speaker!!!! Watch and learn from my mistake!
Also, don’t forget to download your 2014 Goals, Intentions and Declaration toolkit here.
If you have some speaking tips, I’d love to hear them. Please comment and share the love!
